Guided by Olin as your narrator, embark on a journey through our enchanted storybook world, where magical 'birthday side quests' await around every corner hosted by our fellow campus companions, including the English Department, IT Help Desk & IDT, Student Outreach and Resource Center, Title IX, The Tutoring & Writing Center, Wellness Center, and more!

Enter in the Six-Word Short Story Contest
An urban legend has it that novelist Ernest Hemingway won a bet by writing a full story in just six words: "For Sale: baby shoes, never worn." As part of the birthday celebration, the library is hosting a Six-Word Story Contest.

Enter for a chance to win:

The library has been with Rollins College from the start and has moved to many buildings throughout years, including Pinehurst Cottage and Carnegie Hall. In 1985, the Olin Library was officially built near Lake Virginia, embodying the iconic “Fiat Lux” of the sun rising above the lake and exemplifying the light of knowledge.
